Wiki entry 1 4/9/08- Reflections on Previous I Search Experiences

my previous i search experiences have been fun and entetaining to do. I have had to do the biblography of someone Glenn i think....he was an astronaut.....in Mrs. Leonard's room. Research means to me to look for things that you dont know and learn from it. in Mrs. L's class, i did awsome on the project it was very positive on me.

- Why I Chose This Topic & What I Know About My Topic
I chose the vikings because they are really cool and it would be good to learn about them. i don't know anything about them but that they are supposed to be Norse nomadic savages.

- Pre-notetaking activity (in class)
In classi thought of these questions: fat Ques.:WHAT WAS LIFE LIKE FOR A VIKING? skinny ques:When was the hieght of their time and what was it like? What did they believe in and how did they worship? What were some of their biggest battles? Weaponry? Were they nomadic? What was there main occupation? Were they generally wealthy? Women's rights? Festivals?

- Search Logwell..... i learned alot more than i made into cards. the "golden age " of the vikings is............you guest it! The Viking age!!! They were Norse, but there are also many different branches. and they are amazingly sophisticated, compared to what i thought. But they were somewhat nomadic.

-today i learned about how weel they kept themselves. they actually take a bath evry saturday, more than most. Vikings used a variety of tools for personal grooming such as combs, tweezers, razors or specialized "ear spoons". In particular, combs are among the most frequent artifacts from Viking Age excavations. The Vikings also made soap, which they used to bleach their hair as well as for cleaning, as blonde hair was ideal in the Viking culture.
